As the Founder of Prevail Ventures, Mark Losh is an Adviser, Board Member, and Interim Executive for early and growth-stage software companies. Mark brings 30 years of experience in leading companies through rapid growth and has contributed to 3 IPOs, 8 acquisitions and generated more than $4 billion in market value. Mark advises in the areas of; business strategy, securing capital funding, go-to-market, revenue growth strategies, and evaluating liquidity events. Mark is a sought after panelist and frequent contributor on topics related to the pros and cons of raising venture capital, entrepreneurialism, team building, and efficient scaling of high growth companies. Mark has extensive experience in the Enterprise Software, Cloud, SaaS, Mobile, and Open Source markets. 

 

Mark spent 18 years building venture-backed software companies as an Operating Executive, and has participated in more than two dozen rounds of financing, raising more than $240 million from blue-chip venture and private equity firms, including; Sequoia Capital, Greylock Partners, Mohr Davidow Ventures, Lightspeed Venture Partners, Granite Ventures, Crosspoint Ventures, Hummer Winblad, Norwest Ventures, Palm Ventures, and numerous others. Mark maintains active relationships with dozens of innovative CIOs and CTOs, and over 60 early-stage venture firms.

Mark started and ran several Worldwide Field Operations organizations – Sales, Marketing, Strategic Alliances, Product Management, Professional Services, and Technical Support. These companies ranged in size from $0 revenue to $180M in revenue and 1,200 employees. Mark has been responsible for securing and managing charter relationships -- both directly with end-user companies, such as; FedEx, JP Morgan, Morgan Stanley, NYMEX, Google, Charles Schwab, Amazon.com, E-Trade, Deutsche Bank, PGE, US Army, etc., and with multi-tiered distributors and strategic partners, such as; IBM, Microsoft, Accenture, Compaq, EDS, BEA, Oracle, KPMG, RSA, Sun Microsystems, Verizon Wireless, T-Mobile, AOL, and Hewlett-Packard.

Prior to starting Prevail Ventures, Mark was Senior Vice President, Sales and Marketing at Brience, a leading supplier of Enterprise Mobility solutions (acquired by TSI Communications). Mark also held executive positions with; Kenamea (acquired by Scivantage), Covalent Technologies (NYSE:VMW), Foglight Software (DELL), UniKix Technologies (DELL), KnowledgeWare, Inc., (NASDAQ:CA), and Applied Data Research (NASDAQ:CA). 

Mark graduated with Distinguished Honors in Computer Technology from Purdue University.
